What makes this chair worth the price?
Because it’s built differently. The £20-30 chairs you’ll find in supermarkets are made to last a season or two — bulky steel frames, basic fabric, and shapes that get uncomfortable after twenty minutes. Ours uses an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, breathable mesh seat, and a fold-down system that genuinely fits in a day bag. You’re paying for a chair you’ll still be using in five years, not one you’ll replace next summer.
Is it comfortable enough to sit in for hours?
Yes. Most folding chairs sit you bolt upright, which is why your back starts aching after an hour. Ours uses a hammock-style seat that cradles your back and lower body, distributing weight evenly so you can sit for hours without shifting around looking for a comfortable angle.
Does it work for taller and shorter people?
We’ve tested ours with people from around 145cm to 195cm. Under 150cm it still works comfortably, though it sits slightly higher off the ground. Between 160-190cm is the sweet spot — ideal seat height, full back support, no pressure on the legs. Over 195cm it still works, though the back support sits a little lower than ideal.
Does the seat dig into your thighs?
No. The front edge is rounded and padded, so it doesn’t cut into the back of your legs the way most compact chairs do. You can sit in it for a few hours without that numb-leg feeling.
Does it stay stable on soft ground?
The standard feet are designed for grass, gravel, and most outdoor surfaces. On really soft ground — deep sand, fresh snow, thick mud — any compact chair with small feet will sink a little. For most UK use cases (parks, beaches, campsites, festivals) you won’t notice.
Is it stable when you lean or reach for something?
Yes. The frame geometry has been refined to keep the centre of gravity low and balanced, so the chair stays solid even when you lean forward to grab something or shift sideways. No wobbling, no tipping.
Is it suitable for older users?
The chair sits slightly lower than a dining chair — similar height to a standard camping chair. To get up, place your hands on the side rails of the canopy and push down — the frame is built to take your weight without bending. If you have specific mobility concerns, drop us a message before ordering and we’ll talk you through whether it’s the right fit.
What size does it pack down to?
35cm long when packed — about the size of a large water bottle. Fits in a backpack side pocket, the boot of any car, the overhead locker on a flight, and most motorcycle panniers.
Are there separate poles or parts?
None. Unlike most camping chairs that come with five to ten separate poles you have to assemble (and inevitably lose one of), ours is fully all-in-one. Nothing to connect, nothing to forget at home.
How much weight can it hold?
The chair safely supports up to 150kg. We’ve stress-tested it well beyond that for durability and frame integrity.
How heavy is it?
1.7kg. Lighter than most laptops. You can carry it on your shoulder all day without thinking about it.
Is there a warranty?
Every chair comes with a lifetime warranty as standard. If anything ever goes wrong with the frame or fabric under normal use, we’ll repair or replace it — no questions asked.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
45-day risk-free returns. Try it on your next adventure, and if you don’t love it, send it back for a full refund.
